Toowoomba Cricket Inc (TCI) is a unique volunteer organisation that administers and manages all facets of cricket throughout Toowoomba and its surrounding areas.
Aside from the Toowoomba city area itself, the TCI geographical reach includes Highfields to the north, Oakey to the west, and Pittsworth to the south. The TCI oversees and coordinates both junior and senior cricket competitions.
There are 6 TCI affiliated senior clubs: University, Metropolitan-Easts, Souths, Wests, Highfields & District Railways, and Northern Brothers Diggers, with over 500 participants playing across 5 senior grades in 2-day, 1-day, and T20 competitions throughout the season.
The TCI junior competition has over 800 players playing within 6 grades on week to week basis, and its TCI affiliated clubs include University, Metropolitan-Easts, Souths, Wests, Highfields & District Railways, and Northern Brothers Diggers, as well as Oakey and Pittsworth junior clubs. In addition, the Toowoomba Girls Hub, which is exclusively for junior girls wishing to play cricket, is an important part of the TCI junior competition.
TCI also manages the Toowoomba Falcons senior and junior representative teams. These teams are selected from the TCI junior and senior cricket competitions and compete at various representative levels throughout the greater Darling Downs and South West area.
Players from the Toowoomba Falcons are eligible for higher representative selection in teams which participate in Queensland Cricket carnivals and competitions, as well as other carnivals and competitions, held throughout South-East Queensland and wider during each year.
With over 1300 TCI registered players making up 32 senior teams and 72 junior teams playing cricket on a week to week basis, as well as the Toowoomba Falcons senior and junior representative teams competing in competitions in various locations throughout Toowoomba and the greater Darling Downs and South West area, TCI administers and oversees a cricketing organisation which is attractive to both players and sponsors.
